AEK Athens host OFI Crete at OPAP Arena, Athína (Athens) on Saturday, Oct 10 at 6:30 PM in a top-four clash that could have significant title implications. Both sides are separated by just 1 point in the Super League, making this one of the more consequential fixtures of the season.
AEK Athens come into this fixture in good form (3W 2D 0L recently). OFI Crete travel in good form (3W 1D 1L recently), which may hand the initiative to the hosts.
History strongly favours AEK Athens here — they've won 8 of 10 previous meetings against OFI Crete. Their last encounter ended in OFI Crete won 1–0.
Verdict: This looks an evenly matched contest. Home advantage gives AEK Athens a slight edge, but OFI Crete are capable of causing problems. A draw would be a fair result.
