Athletic Club and Real Sociedad meet at San Mames, Bilbao on Sunday, Nov 1 at 9:00 PM with both clubs firmly in the mix for the European places in the LaLiga. Just 2 points separate them in the standings.
Athletic Club come into this fixture in mixed form (2W 2D 1L). Real Sociedad, meanwhile, arrive in good form (3W 1D 1L recently) — actually the better-performing side in recent weeks.
In 10 previous meetings, Athletic Club lead 3–5 with 2 draws. Their last encounter ended in Athletic Club won 0–1.
Verdict: This looks an evenly matched contest. Home advantage gives Athletic Club a slight edge, but Real Sociedad are capable of causing problems. A draw would be a fair result.
