CD Eldense and Sporting Gijon meet at Estadio Pepico Amat, Elda on Sunday, Mar 14 at 3:00 PM with both clubs firmly in the mix for the European places in the LaLiga 2. Just 3 points separate them in the standings.

CD Eldense come into this fixture in good form (3W 0D 2L recently). Sporting Gijon, meanwhile, arrive in red-hot form (4W from last 5) — actually the better-performing side in recent weeks. CD Eldense head into this on the back of a defeat, while Sporting Gijon arrive off a win — momentum clearly with the visitors.

In 5 previous meetings, CD Eldense lead 1–3 with 1 draws. Their last encounter ended in Sporting Gijon won 0–1.

Verdict: This looks an evenly matched contest. Home advantage gives CD Eldense a slight edge, but Sporting Gijon are capable of causing problems. A draw would be a fair result.
