Deportiva Carmelita and Cariari meet today at 8:00 PM with both clubs firmly in the mix for the European places in the Liga de Ascenso – Apertura – Group B. Just 1 point separate them in the standings.
Deportiva Carmelita come into this fixture in mixed form (2W 1D 2L). Cariari travel in mixed form (2W 0D 3L), which may hand the initiative to the hosts. Deportiva Carmelita head into this on the back of a defeat, while Cariari arrive off a win — momentum clearly with the visitors.
In 9 previous meetings, Deportiva Carmelita lead 1–3 with 5 draws. Their last encounter ended in a 1–1 draw.
Verdict: This looks an evenly matched contest. Home advantage gives Deportiva Carmelita a slight edge, but Cariari are capable of causing problems. A draw would be a fair result.
