Empoli welcome L.R. Vicenza at Stadio Carlo Castellani, Empoli on Friday, Oct 23 at 8:30 PM in a Serie B fixture that's tighter on paper than the positions suggest — just 1 point split them in the table.
Empoli come into this fixture in mixed form (2W 0D 3L). L.R. Vicenza travel out of form (1W 2L recently), which may hand the initiative to the hosts.
In 3 previous meetings, Empoli lead 2–0 with 1 draws. Their last encounter ended in Empoli won 4–2. These two tend to produce goals — averaging 4.0 per game in recent meetings.
Verdict: This looks an evenly matched contest. Home advantage gives Empoli a slight edge, but L.R. Vicenza are capable of causing problems. A draw would be a fair result.
