FC Cologne host Mainz 05 at RheinEnergieSTADION, Köln on Saturday, Apr 24 at 3:30 PM in the Bundesliga.
FC Cologne come into this fixture out of form (1W 2L recently). Mainz 05, meanwhile, arrive in mixed form (2W 1D 1L) — actually the better-performing side in recent weeks. FC Cologne head into this on the back of a defeat, while Mainz 05 arrive off a win — momentum clearly with the visitors.
In 10 previous meetings, FC Cologne lead 4–2 with 4 draws. Their last encounter ended in FC Cologne won 2–1.
Verdict: This looks an evenly matched contest. Home advantage gives FC Cologne a slight edge, but Mainz 05 are capable of causing problems. A draw would be a fair result.
