Gainsborough host FC United of Manchester at The Northolme, Gainsborough on Saturday, Jan 16 at 4:00 PM in the Northern Premier League.
Gainsborough come into this fixture in good form (3W 1D 1L recently). FC United of Manchester travel drawing too many games (3D in last 5), which may hand the initiative to the hosts.
In 10 previous meetings, Gainsborough lead 3–5 with 2 draws. Their last encounter ended in FC United of Manchester won 0–3.
Verdict: The gulf in league position makes Gainsborough clear favorites, but FC United of Manchester have shown they can grind out results. Expect Gainsborough to take the points, potentially without being at their best.
