Maritimo host Vitoria de Guimaraes at Estadio do Maritimo, Funchal (Ilha da Madeira) on Sunday, Mar 14 at 6:00 PM in the Primeira Liga.
Maritimo come into this fixture struggling badly (0W 3L in last 5). Vitoria de Guimaraes, meanwhile, arrive out of form (1W 2L recently) — actually the better-performing side in recent weeks.
Despite playing at home, Maritimo face a side that has dominated this fixture historically. Vitoria de Guimaraes have won 8 of 10 encounters, with 2 draws. Their last encounter ended in Vitoria de Guimaraes won 2–1.
Verdict: This looks an evenly matched contest. Home advantage gives Maritimo a slight edge, but Vitoria de Guimaraes are capable of causing problems. A draw would be a fair result.
