Marsaxlokk FC and Birkirkara meet on Sunday, Oct 18 at 11:00 AM in the Premier – Opening Round.
Marsaxlokk FC come into this fixture in good form (3W 1D 1L recently). Birkirkara travel in mixed form (2W 1D 2L), which may hand the initiative to the hosts. Marsaxlokk FC head into this on the back of a defeat, while Birkirkara arrive off a win — momentum clearly with the visitors.
Head-to-head records offer little separation — Marsaxlokk FC and Birkirkara have split their 10 meetings almost evenly (3W–5D–2W). Their last encounter ended in Birkirkara won 0–1.
Verdict: This looks an evenly matched contest. Home advantage gives Marsaxlokk FC a slight edge, but Birkirkara are capable of causing problems. A draw would be a fair result.
