Modern Sport FC and Al Ahly meet at Cairo Int'l Stadium, al-Qāhirah (Cairo) on Thursday, Oct 29 at 3:00 PM with both clubs firmly in the mix for the European places in the Premier League. Just 3 points separate them in the standings.
Modern Sport FC come into this fixture in good form (3W 1D 1L recently). Al Ahly, meanwhile, arrive in red-hot form (4W from last 5) — actually the better-performing side in recent weeks.
Despite playing at home, Modern Sport FC face a side that has dominated this fixture historically. Al Ahly have won 4 of 9 encounters, with 4 draws. Their last encounter ended in a 2–2 draw. These two tend to produce goals — averaging 4.0 per game in recent meetings.
Verdict: This looks an evenly matched contest. Home advantage gives Modern Sport FC a slight edge, but Al Ahly are capable of causing problems. A draw would be a fair result.
