Morecambe host Oxford City at Mazuma Stadium, Morecambe, Lancashire on Saturday, Jan 23 at 4:00 PM in the National League – North.
Morecambe come into this fixture in mixed form (2W 1D 2L). Oxford City, meanwhile, arrive in good form (3W 1D 1L recently) — actually the better-performing side in recent weeks. Morecambe head into this on the back of a defeat, while Oxford City arrive off a win — momentum clearly with the visitors.
Head-to-head records offer little separation — Morecambe and Oxford City have split their 1 meetings almost evenly (0W–1D–0W). Their last encounter ended in a 1–1 draw.
Verdict: This looks an evenly matched contest. Home advantage gives Morecambe a slight edge, but Oxford City are capable of causing problems. A draw would be a fair result.
