National Bank host Al-Ittihad Alexandria at Suez Canal Authority Stadium, al-Qāhirah (Cairo) on Wednesday, Jan 6 at 7:00 PM in the Premier League.
National Bank come into this fixture in mixed form (2W 0D 3L). Al-Ittihad Alexandria, meanwhile, arrive in good form (3W 1D 1L recently) — actually the better-performing side in recent weeks. National Bank head into this on the back of a defeat, while Al-Ittihad Alexandria arrive off a win — momentum clearly with the visitors.
Head-to-head records offer little separation — National Bank and Al-Ittihad Alexandria have split their 10 meetings almost evenly (1W–7D–2W). Their last encounter ended in a 2–2 draw.
Verdict: This looks an evenly matched contest. Home advantage gives National Bank a slight edge, but Al-Ittihad Alexandria are capable of causing problems. A draw would be a fair result.
