NK Celje face NEC Nijmegen at Stadion Z'dezele, Celje on Thursday, Jan 28 at 9:00 PM in a basement battle that neither side can afford to lose. Both clubs are deep in the relegation picture in the League Stage, and defeat here could prove costly come the end of the season.

NK Celje come into this fixture out of form (0W 2L recently). NEC Nijmegen, meanwhile, arrive in mixed form (1W 1D 1L) — actually the better-performing side in recent weeks.

Verdict: This looks an evenly matched contest. Home advantage gives NK Celje a slight edge, but NEC Nijmegen are capable of causing problems. A draw would be a fair result.
