Real Sociedad and Athletic Club meet at Reale Arena, Donostia-San Sebastián on Sunday, May 2 at 3:00 PM with both clubs firmly in the mix for the European places in the LaLiga. Just 2 points separate them in the standings.
Real Sociedad come into this fixture in good form (3W 1D 1L recently). Athletic Club travel in mixed form (2W 2D 1L), which may hand the initiative to the hosts.
In 10 previous meetings, Real Sociedad lead 5–3 with 2 draws. Their last encounter ended in Real Sociedad won 1–0.
Verdict: This looks an evenly matched contest. Home advantage gives Real Sociedad a slight edge, but Athletic Club are capable of causing problems. A draw would be a fair result.
