Sporting Gijon and Real Oviedo meet at Estadio El Molinon, Gijón on Sunday, Apr 25 at 3:00 PM with both clubs firmly in the mix for the European places in the LaLiga 2. Just 2 points separate them in the standings.
Sporting Gijon come into this fixture in red-hot form (4W from last 5). Real Oviedo travel in good form (3W 1D 1L recently), which may hand the initiative to the hosts.
In 10 previous meetings, Sporting Gijon lead 2–4 with 4 draws. Their last encounter ended in Sporting Gijon won 0–2.
Verdict: This looks an evenly matched contest. Home advantage gives Sporting Gijon a slight edge, but Real Oviedo are capable of causing problems. A draw would be a fair result.
